Purpose
Documentation for study
The Plevris Archive is a reference resource that documents the published works, archival documents and public record associated with Konstantinos Plevris (born 1939), a Greek lawyer, author and political figure. Its function is bibliographic and documentary: to record what was published, when, by whom, in what editions, and what public and legal record exists in relation to it.
The archive exists for research use — by historians, legal scholars, students of Greek political history, librarians and journalists. It does not promote, recommend or endorse any work or position recorded in it, and it does not exist to advocate against them either.
Editorial principles
What is included, how it is sourced, how it is verified
Inclusion. Entries are limited to items that can be described from a documented source: published books and texts, editions and translations, archival documents, recorded lectures and interviews, court records, and third-party scholarship and journalism about the subject and his work.
Sourcing. Every record names its source. Bibliographic records cite the physical or catalogue source consulted. Legal records cite the court decision, filing or contemporaneous report from which the information is taken. Media records cite the broadcaster, publisher or repository holding the recording.
Verification. Fields that have not been confirmed against a primary source are displayed as “To be verified” rather than estimated or filled in. Archive items carry an explicit provenance confidence value — Verified, Unverified, or Secondary source. No record is silently corrected: corrections replace the field and the source citation changes with it.
Description. Descriptions state subject matter, structure and publication facts. Evaluative language is not used, in either direction. Quotations from a work are identified as quotations, and translations are identified as translations.
Statement
Legal proceedings and public debate
The archive includes works and records that have been discussed in legal proceedings, court decisions and public debate in Greece and internationally. They are catalogued alongside the bibliographic data, neither omitted nor placed in a separate category.
Where a catalogued work is connected to a legal proceeding, its bibliographic record carries a public-record flag and links directly to the relevant case entry in Legal & Public Record, which sets out court, dates, case identifiers where available, outcome, and the sources cited. Notable public and scholarly criticism is recorded in the same way, with author, publication and date.
Documenting a work or a proceeding is not an endorsement of its contents or of any party to it.
Corrections
Reporting an error in a record
Corrections are welcome and are treated as archival amendments. A correction should identify the record (accession number or work title), the field in question, and the primary source supporting the amendment. Amended fields are re-sourced rather than silently edited, and a record whose source cannot be confirmed is returned to “To be verified”.
